Send us a photo for the March slide show

Hello Parents,

As you may know, we've been opening our Student of the Month assemblies with a slide show highlighting life at HVV in the previous month. For March we thought it would be interesting to have a "what I did on my March break" theme for the show. Please email one picture of your child doing whatever he/she did over the break to Bronwen Thomas at blthomas@rogers.com ASAP with a final deadline of Friday, March 21 if you'd like your child to be included in the show.

Thanks very much,

Bronwen Thomas and Marlene Yip

Parent Volunteer Opportunities

We're looking for 2 to 4 parents to help run our Eco Club and Earth Week activities.

Time Commitment - Attend meetings once a week (sometimes twice) every week from October to June

How Can You Help?
  • Implement the TDSB Eco Schools program. This involves creating a yearly calendar of activities for participants to partake in to meet the criterion and requirements for Eco certification
  • Teach students what "eco" means through a variety of different learning experiences and to help them transfer these learnings to their peers within their school
  • Help design and deliver the annual Earth Week program
  • To manage and maintain the Friendship garden and help look for ways to green the school property
Please email Christine Munro at selbymunro@rogers.com if you have any questions or if you're interested in helping. Thanks!
